About – Odivi

ODIVI is a Prague-born multidisciplinary creative studio founded in 2010 by Iva Burkertová. What started with fashion has grown into a space where different disciplines, ideas and ways of living naturally meet.

We move between clothing, objects, spaces, experiences and everything in between. Rather than defining what ODIVI should be, we follow what we are curious about and let that curiosity shape what we create.

▶ WE DESIGN BODY LAYERS

Although we began as a fashion brand, our work has always extended beyond clothing. We explore the body in a broader context, with garments as just one possible outcome - sometimes there are no garments at all. In 2019, we sent fifteen nude models down the runway to present our idea of a 100% sustainable collection. A year later, we created Manifest - a march of 50 people wearing garments made from 200 upcycled jackets. For us, clothing is a tool, not a goal. We prioritize function, while embracing play, adaptability, and testing ideas in real-life conditions.

▶ WE DESIGN CONSCIOUS OBJECTS

Designing objects is a natural extension of our practice. It allows us to apply the same values and approach across disciplines, whether we are creating a garment, a chair, or an experience. Objects serve as a testing ground, a space for play, experimentation, and discovering unexpected connections between materials, functions, and fields of design. At Designblok 2022, we presented installations built entirely from discarded objects, exploring the creative potential of what others considered waste.

▶ WE DESIGN LIFETIME EXPERIENCES

People and community have always been at the center of our work. Experiences grew naturally from this foundation, a way to share what we love: the outdoors, architecture, design, and great food. Through these journeys, meaningful conversations and lasting connections emerge, while we also test our ideas and designs in real environments. For over 10 years, we have taken people to the mountains, into architectural landscapes, and to the ocean. Today, we also offer Bespoke Experiences tailor-made journeys designed around your interests. Creating experiences is our passion.

▶ WE DESIGN UNDEFINED SPACES

Architecture has always been one of our passions. We are fascinated by creating environments that shift perception, change the way we experience space, and invite new ways of living. We design open spaces that can be shaped by meaningful activities, exploring the relationship between space, people, and experience. Through space design, we are gradually moving towards small-scale architecture.The first project is currently taking shape in Portugal, with another one planned in the Czech forest. We are open to collaborations, residencies, and knowledge exchange. We are inspired by natural materials, circular thinking, and the creative potential of upcycling.

We don't want to fit into a category.We'd rather keep moving between them.

For us, creativity has never belonged to one discipline. It is a way of looking at the world, staying curious, making connections and finding new ways to do things. ODIVI is a space for exactly that: a constantly evolving mix of design, people, places and experiences.
